e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter

The dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter that actually lives up to the comparison. At $14 vs. $49, the e.l.f. version delivers the same skin-blurring, luminous coverage with fewer ingredients that cause sensitivity. It's not identical — the finish is slightly dewier and the coverage is sheerer — but for the price difference, it's one of the most impressive budget beauty finds of the last two years.
Anyone wanting a lit-from-within, no-makeup-makeup look. Best for normal to dry skin types (the dewy finish amplifies on oily skin). Excellent as a standalone base for minimal coverage days or mixed into foundation for all-over glow.
Use it three ways: alone as a sheer base, mixed with foundation (1:1 ratio) for a glowy coverage, or layered on top of foundation on cheekbones and high points for a highlight effect. Apply with fingers or a damp beautyblender for the most natural finish. Set lightly with powder if you have oily skin.
Not suitable as a standalone product for oily skin types — the formula can slide and increase shine. The coverage is very sheer, so if you need significant coverage, it needs to be mixed or layered. Shade matching is important: the filter comes in warm to cool-toned shades and the wrong one can look muddy or ashy.
